An artist observes and ponders life. When I was young, I wanted the world to be beautiful. During country car rides I would imagine how to make the passing landscape pretty, more wildflowers along white fences and re-painting worn red barns. Now, I look at the world and I still imagine how to make things look better; and function better. I was fortunate to be a part of the very progressive and creative Ivy School of Professional Art in Pittsgurgh. After much utilitarian experience in the business world, I made a decision. I would merge my passion for artistic expression with my aptitude in science, computers and math. I went back to college on a part-time basis. First stop was University of South Florida, and then I added tutoring with local digital artists and webmasters. Through the Lynda.com certificate service (now LinkedIn Learning) I balanced out the rest. My passion is still to create [ anything ] with function and aesthetics in balance.
